My good friend, Joseph Rutt of Level C, Inc., a veteran of the publishing industry, shared this piece, and it’s refreshing in these days of whining dinosaur monopolists and the “professionals” (e.g., journalists and academics) who eagerly serve them in the name of the public good and the very fate of democracy. The New York Times gets it; may they live and prosper!
My late father used to say that the economic system in this country should be called “Socialism for the Rich”. Time for the Rich to have to deal with a little capitalist-style competition and a level playing field, don’t you think?
