I’ve been really interested in Chris Brogan’s ideas recently. I’m working on some parallel ones about the nature of the different networks, online and in ‘Real Life’, in which we are nodes (I mean that in a good way!).
What’s exciting about Social Media is that it dramatically reduces the cost of connection, and therefore dramatically increases the available supply; we suddenly have a lot more to play with, which by analogy to say, data bandwidth, will inevitably lead to new and exciting ‘products’ and ‘services’…Econ 101. More later; like I said, I’m still working on this.
I’ve waiting for Chris’s book. Trust Agents: Using the Web to Build Influence, Improve Reputation, and Earn Trust
Have you read anything from the Stanford Persuasive Tech Lab? Read anything from BJ Fogg & his lab…does work on web credibility/trust issues, as well as “captology” or the study of computers as persuasive technology. Good stuff, you’d like it.
Haven’t. I will check it out. Thanks!
